Inside KAKADU's Supply Chain: Quality Control from Profile to Container

How KAKADU coordinates sourcing, machining, finishing, inspection and export logistics for aluminum shading systems — and what that means for your project's quality and lead time.

Inside KAKADU's Supply Chain: Quality Control from Profile to Container

Behind every KAKADU shipment is a supply chain we coordinate end to end — profile sourcing, machining, surface finishing, assembly, inspection and export logistics — managed under one quality system and one point of contact.

End-to-End Supply Chain Control

Our aluminium manufacturing heritage dates back to 1995, and KAKADU has been operating its shading-systems supply chain since 2016, with an annual aluminium handling capacity of approximately 45,000 tonnes. Instead of leaving buyers to coordinate several vendors, we manage the full sequence: 6063-T5 profile sourcing, CNC machining, powder coating, assembly and final inspection. One contract, one quality standard, one accountable team.

Quality Control at Every Stage

The facilities in our manufacturing network operate under ISO 9001 quality management systems, and our own inspection protocol runs on top of theirs:

  • Incoming material verification — alloy and temper checks on every batch
  • In-process dimensional checks on CNC-machined components
  • Coating thickness and adhesion testing, with salt-spray records for coastal-grade finishes available on request
  • Pre-shipment functional runs on every motorized unit before packing

Because the whole chain reports to one team, a quality question can be traced to its source in hours rather than weeks.

OEM/ODM: From Drawings to Container

Custom profile sections, RAL-matched finishes, made-to-order sizes, branded packaging and private-label products are all part of daily operations. CAD drawings and bills of materials are provided free of charge during quotation, and samples can be arranged before bulk orders so distributors and designers can verify finish and function first-hand.

Coordinated Logistics and Delivery

Container loading plans are confirmed at quotation, so buyers know exactly how many bays or units ship per container before they commit. Lead times are stated per order size and finish selection, and export documentation — including the certification paperwork required by the destination market — is prepared by our team rather than left to the freight forwarder.

What This Means for Buyers

A single point of accountability from quotation to delivery: consistent colour batches across repeat orders, documented inspection at every stage, and logistics coordinated by the people who know the product. It is the model behind our shipments to distributors, developers and designers in 60+ countries — and the reason repeat orders stay repeat.
